What “Verified” Means Here
Most research tools validate citations: they confirm a URL resolves and the document exists. That catches a broken link. It does not catch the more expensive problem — a real, working, correctly-formatted source cited for something it never actually says.
So we check the other direction. Each key claim in your brief is taken back to the source cited for it and re-read against it, and the result is recorded: supported, refuted, or not enough evidence either way. A brief containing even one claim its own cited sources contradict does not ship — no matter how well the rest of it scored.

Some questions do not have enough solid public evidence behind them to answer honestly. When that happens, the check fails — and a failed check is the system working, not breaking. Here is exactly what happens next, so you are never left wondering where your $29 went.

First, it retries itself — automatically
The research is re-run with a broadened source search. Most briefs that stall on the first pass clear the bar on the second, and you never hear about it because nothing was sent yet.

Then a person actually looks at it
If the second pass still does not clear the bar, the brief stops and a human reviews what failed and why. Nothing is released on a machine’s say-so alone.

Then you choose: refund, or a credit
If we cannot get your brief over the bar, you get a full refund — or, if you prefer, a free credit toward a larger report. You are never charged for a document we would not stand behind.
The short version: we would rather refund you than hand you a confident-sounding answer we cannot stand behind. A brief that cannot clear the bar is never quietly downgraded and sent anyway — and this refund is never limited or capped. If it happened to you ten times, you would be refunded ten times.

Methodology
Your question is researched against a curated corpus of primary sources — filings, standards bodies, government statistics, and company disclosures — rather than an open-web crawl. Sources are screened for authenticity and currency before anything is written from them.
Drafting and claim-checking are performed by our AI research pipeline, and the verification step is run independently of the step that wrote the text — the checker re-reads each claim against its cited source rather than trusting the draft. Briefs that fail that check are routed to human review and never released automatically. We tell you this plainly because how the document was produced is part of what you are buying; the reason to trust it is the audit trail it carries, not the tooling behind it.
Your question is the only thing we store. We do not collect your name, email, phone, or company — checkout and your receipt are handled by Square, and your brief is delivered over a private, expiring link.
